Kian Egan and his wife Jodi Albert have spoken of their excitement about the new addition to their family due to arrive early this summer.
The couple’s son Koa (4) announced the news in a video posted to his Dad’s Facebook page in November.
“We’re so excited about expanding our family,” the couple said speaking to OK! Magazine.
“I didn’t realised how much I wanted another child until I found out I was pregnant,” Jodi revealed.
The Hollyoaks actress said that her second pregnancy has been easier to cope with than her first.
"The bond was so much quicker this second time. Almost immediate,” she said.
Following the birth of baby Koa in December 2011, Jodi suffered from post natal depression and revealed she will be able to spot the signs if it should happen following the birth of her second little one.
“With Koa I wasn't aware what was wrong with me for seven months. Hopefully I'd recognise the signs and I’d know how to control it, to talk to someone,” she said.
The actress recently lost her mother following an eight year battle with cancer.
An emotional Jodi shared on Instagram last week: "We said goodbye to your body today, but you are a part of me and will live on in my heart forever. I will raise my children and make you proud. I love you my mummy. I will treasure our special relationship forever!
"Thank you for the life you gave me.#myangelnow."
Eileen was first diagnosed with cancer in 2009 and her cancer was in remission before she was diagnosed again.
Jodi's husband Kian Egan lost his father Kevin - who was too ill to attend their Barbados wedding in 2009 - in 2010.
Singer and tv personality Kian Egan is pleasantly surprised with the steady stream of work coming his way in the years since Westlife split, but he admits it is not always easy when it comes to balancing his career and fatherhood commitments.
