'We're coming home for our wedding' - Ireland star Robbie Brady and fiancée Kerrie Harris
They've been dating since they were teenagers and Kerrie Harris has revealed she and footballer Robbie Brady are planning to get married at home in Ireland.
The sports star popped the question to this bride-to-be last Halloween, and despite living in England where Robbie plays for Burnley, they're going to make sure they come home for their special day.
"We have been looking at both abroad and at home, but we are more swayed towards Ireland because Robbie plays for his country and we live in the UK so we would be really proud to come home and get married," she said.
Kerrie had previously revealed she was looking forward to getting stuck into planning the big day with Robbie, but the pair have since decided to take a more relaxed approach.
"The wedding plans are going good but there's nothing set in stone just yet. We are looking at either 2018 or 2019 for it. Hopefully it will be soon enough," she told the Diary.
The dance teacher is still undecided on how many guests will be invited to the ceremony.
"I don't know if I want to have a big or small one yet, I need to sit down and really get the plans going," she said.
Kerrie and Robbie began dating when they were in their teens.
They first met when they were 15, however it would be a while before they began dating and getting to know each other because of Robbie's burgeoning football career.
The 25-year-old revealed they chose a low-key affair for their first date, meeting at the Spire on O'Connell Street and strolling around the city holding hands, with Kerrie describing him as a "gentleman" during their early years of dating.
Robbie and Kerrie are parents to three-year-old daughter Hallie, who her proud mum says is starting to understand her dad's status as a sporting hero.
"She is starting to understand it now, yeah. She knows what's going on. She's a great little kid," said Kerrie.
Speaking about the future, Kerrie admitted she and Robbie have already thought about expanding their family, but are going to wait until they have tied the knot before giving Hallie a sibling.
"I would love to have another kid. Hopefully I will, but we will have to get married first," she said.
Kerrie was speaking at #DomiGoals at Tallaght Stadium, Domino's inaugural event in aid of Barretstown.
Two teams of Irish celebrities, including Richie Sadlier, Stephen Byrne and Danny O'Reilly teamed up for a football match.
Domino's relationship with Barretstown has raised nearly €300,000 to date - €15,000 was raised at the #DomiGoals event.
