Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher and her pet dog Gary hit the green carpet for annual Oscar Wilde Awards
Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher has found the perfect date for awards season - her pet dog.
Fisher turned up to the Oscar Wilde awards last night with her mutt Gary on a leash.
She was a guest at the tenth annual Oscar Wilde event in Santa Monica last night.
Held ahead of Sunday night's Academy Awards, Oscar Wilde gongs were doled out to Carrie, as well as American TV host Stephen Colbert and renowned artist Colin Davidson.
The event is run by the US-Ireland Alliance, and Star Wars director JJ Abrams explained why it was different from other pre-Oscar night parties saying it is "the most irreverent, most fun, has the best music, and it certainly has the most Guinness".
Carrie, who famously portrayed Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy along with Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford, also wore a green dress to the event.
She posed with fellow honorees Stephen Fry, Stephen Colbert and Colin Davidson.
Carrie will feature in JJ Abrams' reboot of Star Wars, reprising her role of Princess Leia alongside her co-stars Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford.
'Star Wars: Episode VII' will also feature Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis and Warwick Davis.
