The actress and contestant on 'Dancing with the Stars' spills the beans on the loves of her life.

The person

My best friend and husband, John. I'm so blessed

The memory

My wedding day last September. It sounds cliched, and everyone says it, but it really was the best day of my life, spent with the people I love most

The moment of the day

I'm really not a morning person. My favourite time of the day has to be after dinner, when the kettle is on, I'm ready to put the feet up, and it's downtime

The song

Marrying the Sea by Declan O'Rourke. My sister Doireann sings it beautifully, and it gives me goosebumps

The movie

Anything with Cate Blanchett. She's incredible, and gives a masterclass every time. My favourite movie of hers is probably Blue Jasmine

The hero

My parents, Clare and Eugene. They are the two most loving, supportive and inspiring people in my life

The book

The Great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald. I love how it transports you to that fabulous place and time

The outfit

I couldn't pick one! I love clothes, playing and experimenting with styles, but I definitely don't have a favourite outfit, as it changes on a daily basis!

The accessory

My two dogs, Reggie and Rubie! They protect me, keep me company, shower me with love and take the best selfies! They're squad goals!

The gadget

My car. I do so much driving. I would be totally lost without it, and it's my second home

The pet hate

Traffic and cooking. Both cause me all kinds of stress and anxiety

The friend

My two sisters, Ailbhe and Doireann. We are so close and always have been. I can tell or ask them anything

The part of my body

My hair. I'm lucky I got my mother's

The beauty product

Anything from SkinCeuticals. I wear their SPF every day and couldn't live without it now

The holiday

Our recent honeymoon in Myanmar. We travelled all around, and what an incredible country - rich in culture, history and adventure!

The piece of advice

Life is a marathon, not a sprint. I tend to get impatient, but it always helps to be reminded of it

The drink

Bombay Sapphire gin, with tonic and juniper berries - perfection

The hotel

Although it often feels close to home, getting married at the Armada Hotel in Spanish Point, Co Clare, was the perfect reminder of what an amazing hotel it is

The bar

I love a good night out in Doolin, Co Clare, but John and I also love Dingle, and one of our favourite pubs is Dick Mack's

The hobby

Quality time walking my dogs. I love taking them to the beach, the woods, the Burren - anywhere we can enjoy the outdoors together!

The celebrity

Claire Byrne. I think she's an absolute lady and a top-class journalist

The virtue

My glass half-full mentality. I'm all about positivity!

The vice

I have the worst sweet tooth. It's my weakness

The smell

Lavender. It doesn't just calm me, but also reminds me of my nana, and a gorgeous soap from the Burren Perfumery

The taste

It has to be my husband's cottage pie!

Today and next weekend, Aoibhin is hosting Weddings To A Tea wedding-planning events in Miltown Malbay, Co Clare (today); Clonakilty, Co Cork (January 28); and Killarney, Co Kerry (January 29). For tickets, see
