Former Boyzone star Keith Duffy and his wife Lisa have sold their family home in North County Dublin, which has been on the market for more than a year.

The property originally went on the market for €1.3m through Sherry Fitzgerald but is believed to have sold for significantly less, as the asking price dropped to €995k in recent months.

The couple have lived in the property in Swords since 2004, and it is believed to have cost them €1m at the time.

The home is one of twenty detached homes in a cul-de-sac development, sealed with electric gates for security purposes.

The home boasts five bedrooms, and a luxurious steam room to relax in after a hard session in the home gym.

Keith and his son Jay's pride and joy is the converted garage, which houses a bar, a pool table, and sentimental music and sports memorabilia.

Keith and Lisa are now moving to a nearby Ballyboughal, a purchase which was pending based on the sale of Duffy’s current abode.

Starting prices for these two-storey house types start at €549,000 and at €599,000. An ever larger house type, extending over some 4,000 sq ft, will be launched within a month.

As well as their own private lawn and patio, there is a communal children's playground.
