Katy Perry has gotten a tattoo to commemorate her halftime performance during #SuperbowlXLIX, Independent.ie understands.

The pop star posted a picture to Instagram showing a freshly-inked finger sporting the letter XLIX, meaning 49.

The tattoo sits on her right-hand ring finger, next to the finger housing a 'Hello Kitty' tattoo.

Perry performed a medley of her greatest hits at the  Superbowl Halftime Show, appearing on stage with Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot and ending the performance in the air - "flying" around the arena on a star while belting her hit song 'Firework'.
