Aisling O'Loughlin said she learned her lesson the hard way when she went overboard with non-invasive cosmetic procedures.
The former TV3 star said she ended up "looking like a dead fish" after too many botox treatments and warned women that less is more.
Speaking to the Irish Star's Chic magazine, Aisling said: "You have to be careful with botox, of course I've had disasters. If you're fixing one annoying frown line well fine, but if you decide then you want to get rid of a load of crow's feet, or you don't like how one cheek bunches up into your eye and you try to fix it, well you're asking for trouble.
"That was my thing, I didn't like how my cheek bunched up so I tried to fix it and I ended up looking like a dead fish."
The presenter said she targets one particularly deep frown-line with botox regularly.
"I have a big frown line in the middle of my forehead so I jab it with botox. You do have to be careful though, it can make you look worse if you go too far."
Meanwhile, Aisling said she has not thought about dating following her split from partner Nick MacInnes in late 2016.
"Oh God no, I haven't started dating again. I'm cured of romance. I have enough to be doing," she said.
The former couple are parents to Patrick, Louis and Joseph and called it quits at the end of last year after several years of dating.
Despite the split, they have remained good friends and Nick makes regular visits to Aisling's home to spend time with their boys. The pair are determined to keep things as normal as possible for them in the coming months.
Aisling has turned her hand to running her own website, Exquisite.ie, since she was axed from Xpose last August along with Lisa Cannon and Peter O’Riordan after almost a decade with the programme.
Aisling O'Loughlin walks into the Radisson St. Helen's, and all heads turn to take in the cool, elegant blonde in the soft grey jacket. There's an air of quiet confidence about her, which she attributes to the freeing up of her voice, now that she's self-employed after 14 years with TV3.
