Holly Hagan has been the latest Geordie Shore lass to debut a transformed figure and revealed that her weight loss motivation was the stream of abuse from ‘vile’ Twitter trolls.
The 22-year-old reality star shed three stone through a rigorous workout routine and dropped from a size 16 to a size 8.
Holly revealed that internet trolls who constantly abused her because of her weight and image inspired her to transform her body.
“I don’t want to say it’s because of Twitter or anything like that but with all the comments I was getting, 90 percent of them were about my weight and were commenting on how I was fat, or how I was ugly,” Holly told MailOnline.
“It upset me at the time and did inspire me to lose it. I just wanted to work a bit harder but also to be a lot healthier because I couldn’t run up the stairs. It has been a four year journey for me.”
The MTV star offered her thanks to those who ‘pushed’ her to make her health a priority and inspired her to partner with Protein World.
“To be honest I’d like to thank those people who called me those names,” she said.
“It did give me a little bit of a push, but nobody should lose weight because someone calls them fat.
“I'll always get the fat comments. I don't think that's ever going to change but now I just get the odd one in every 100.”
Holly’s Geordie Shore castmates Vicki and Charlotte have also been spending a lot of time prioritising their health throughout the past 12 months, ditching the takeaways and sugary alcopops they often indulge in on the show.
Charlotte Crosby also dropped four dress sizes over the past eight months after she clasped eyes on unflattering photos of herself on a Marbella beach in a bikini.
"When I saw pictures of me on the beach. I thought, 'Why do I look like the Michelin Man?' I felt humiliated," she told New! magazine
"The worst thing was, I felt embarrassed for Mitch. What boyfriend wants to say they're going out with the Michelin Man?"
"I always wanted to be sexy for Mitch but I could never do it," she said.
