Football career beckons for Britain's Princess Charlotte as tot takes her first steps
BRITAIN'S Prince William reckons that 11-month-old Princess Charlotte might have a bright future in football after the tot marked a huge milestone by taking her first steps.
In a conversation with former Chelsea and Aston Villa defender Paul Elliott in Wembley Stadium, the Duke of Cambridge gushed about the Princess’ football skills and revealed that she showed a lot of “promise”.
"She's a very good footballer. You hold her hand and she kicks it," Prince William said according to Hello!.
Prince William was speaking at a lunch held in his honour, which celebrated his tenth anniversary as president of the Football Association.
The royal admitted the decade flew by “in a flash” and revealed he has backed Leicester City to win the Premier League title.
"I'm dying for Leicester to win. It will be good for the game," he said.
If Princess Charlotte continues to show promise, she has the support of the English Woman’s football team who gifted the baby with a personalised jersey shortly after her birth in May 2015.
The royal family is getting set to celebrate the first birthday of the Princess next month in Anmer Hall.
