Christine Bleakley the Christmas bride as she and Frank Lampard tie the knot this weekend
Glamorous TV personality Christine Bleakley is set to become a beautiful Christmas bride this weekend as she ties the knot in London with her multi-millionaire football star fiancé Frank Lampard.
Although the couple are on record as planning an intimate affair, it is expected that stars from the worlds of sport and showbiz could rock up to the city's trendy Arts Club tomorrow to help the newlyweds celebrate.
The high-profile couple have been together for six years. Their engagement was announced in mid-2011.
Wild Ireland presenter Christine (36), who is also a former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, admitted in 2012 that she was in no rush to walk down the aisle with Frank.
Both steadfastly refused to succumb to any pressure to tie the knot throughout their four-year engagement.
But the former Chelsea midfielder, who won 106 caps for England, revealed in June he was finally "very ready" to marry the Newtownards woman, who began her TV career at BBC Northern Ireland.
Lampard, who was at one time the highest-earning player in the English Premier League, has spent much of the year in New York, where he has been playing for New York City FC in Major League Soccer.
The Sun newspaper reported: "Christine and Frank have had the date set for a while but have been trying to keep it under wraps.
"They want it to be an intimate affair and have only invited close friends and family.
"They haven't signed a big magazine deal like a lot of stars do, because it's not their style."
It is understood that pop star Ed Sheeran will perform at the wedding reception.
