The gloves were off for Justin Bieber's much anticipated Comedy Central roast.
Host Kevin Hart pulled no punches at the A-list event, which saw an eclectic mix of Holllywood's elite join together one of the world's richest tweeners.
Martha Stewart, Shaquille O'Neal, Ron Burgundy, Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian and Chrissy Teigen filled the seats of celebrities waiting to see The Biebs get his comeuppance.
Bieber requested the roast as part of his new, media-friendly image, as he tries to redeem his spoiled brat sins of the past two years.
"I lost some of my best qualities," he said at the end of the roast. "I'm looking forward to being someone to be proud of. Someone close to me once said how you rise from a fall is how you are truly defined as a man."
The special won't air in the US until March 30th, but People gave a sneak peek into some of the hilarious jokes at at his expense.
Showing a newfound willingness to poke fun at himself, his one-liners even earned more than a few laughs.
"Damn, you guys were brutal," Bieber said as the show wrapped. "This was supposed to be a birthday present. When people ask me what I got for my 21st birthday, I'll tell them I got my d*** kicked in. I should have known."
Host Kevin Hart showed personal lives weren't off limits, poling fun at his relationship with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
"Selena Gomez couldn't be here tonight. Just because she didn't want to be here," he said.
NBA legend Shaq, whose rather random appearance went unexplained, said: "Justin as a father of six you have to straighten up, son. Last year, you were ranked the fifth most-hated person of all time. Kim Jong-Un didn't rank that low. And he uses your music to torture people."
