The X Factor judges will have the chance to sabotage each other's categories this year as a new twist will see each of them pick an act for another mentor's group.
Head judge Simon Cowell has come up with the rule where every mentor will have their fourth act chosen by a rival judge, according to The Sun.
It will give each of them the chance to either saddle their colleagues with a weaker act, or shame them by bringing back someone who had been overlooked.
Mel B is set to choose a wildcard for Louis Walsh's groups category, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will pick for Mel's boys, Louis will select an Over 25 for Simon, and the music mogul will pick another girl for Cheryl.
The twist is thought to have come about after Simon chastised Louis for not taking returning hopeful Paul Akister to the live shows last year.
At the judges' houses round, former mentor Tulisa Contostavlos will be back to help out Louis, Mel will bring ex-bandmate Emma Bunton along, Cheryl will draft in Tinie Tempah, and Simon will be joined by Sinitta.
This weekend the competition reaches the bootcamp stage and will air its first ever Friday night show on ITV.
