Hollywood royalty descended on Dublin's Talbot Street as 'Gossip Girl' star Blake Lively started filming on her new movie 'The Rhythm Section'.
The actress is considered one of the most best dressed women in Hollywood, but looked a far cry from her usual glamorous self - she was almost unrecognisable as she dressed down in a pair of tracksuit bottoms and a beanie hat. She is taking the leading role in the espionage thriller, which co-stars Jude Law. Set partly in London, the northside street was closed off for most of yesterday as it was transformed to depict the British capital, complete with black cabs and red phone boxes. The film is slated for release in 2019.
The spy thriller is being produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions, who produced the last eight James Bond movies, while The Handmaid's Tale's Reed Morano is also involved.
Lively and husband, actor Ryan Reynolds have set up temporary camp in Dublin for several months during filming, renting a seaside home in Killiney with their daughters (two) and Ines (one). Sightings of the pair have been relatively rare, but last month, they were pictured enjoying a family day out in Blackrock at Bear coffee shop
Blake (30) and Ryan (41) are famously private when it comes to their personal lives and have been uncharacteristically quiet on social media so as not to tip fans off about their whereabouts during their time in Ireland. Independent.ie Style can also reveal that production took place at the private country estate Clonwilliam House in Arklow, traditionally used as a one-of-a-kind wedding venue.
