Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina 'doing fine' after being found unconscious in bathtub
A cousin of Bobbi Kristina Brown told Sky News that the family are "praying for her swift recovery".
The family of Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston, are praying for her, her cousin has told Sky News.
21-year-old Bobbi Kristina was found “limp and unresponsive” in a bathtub at her Georgia home on Saturday morning by her husband Nick Gordon.
The eery news comes just days short of her mother’s two year anniversary. Iconic singer Whitney Houston was found dead in a California hotel room bathtub in February 2012.
According to reports, Nick and a family friend performed CPR on Bobbi Kristina as they waited for paramedics to arrive.
She was revived after being rushed to a local hospital in North Fulton.
Her cousin Jerod Brown has told Sky News: "She's pretty good right now, she's around family.”
"What I do want to say is thanks for all the prayers and support that the fans have been showing Bobbi Kristina.”
"We're just praying for a speedy recovery, that's it."
Some news outlets have reported that Ms Brown has been placed in a medically-induced coma, but her cousin has neglected to comment on the matter.
“She's doing fine right now. That's all I can give you right now."
"I'm pretty sure she'll be getting out of there very soon," he concluded.
When asked how his cousin was feeling ahead of the upcoming anniversary of her mother's death, Mr Brown said: "She's in good spirits.
"Of course she goes through the grieving because it's still fresh, but other than that she's doing fine."
Whitney was 48 years old when she died from accidentally drowning.
A coroner concluded that heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors in the Grammy award winning singer’s tragic death.
Bobbi Kristina was Whitney’s only child, her father is RnB star Bobby Brown.
