'We will always be united' - Fergie and Josh Duhamel announce shock split after eight years of marriage
Singer Fergie and her husband Josh Duhamel have announced their shock split after eight years of marriage.
The couple revealed today that they separated privately a few months ago but will "always be united."
They said in a statement released to People.com: "With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year.
“To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public.
"We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”

The couple are parents to their son Axl (4).
Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie (42) first met Josh when her band appeared on his TV show Las Vegas in 2004.
They got engaged in 2007 and wed two years later in California.
They were seen as one of Hollywood's strongest couples and would regularly gush about each other in interviews.
Earlier this year Josh (44) said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show: "Having a kid at 40 years old is much different than having one at 22, you know, so I'm a little more mature than I was then.
"I'm just doing the best that I can, trying not to screw him up for life, you never know.
"Fergie is definitely more evolved than I am, and more patient."
