Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has become a father for the fourth time.

The Real Madrid superstar (32) confirmed on social media that his girlfriend of one year Georgina Rodriguez gave birth to their first child on Sunday, a week earlier than her due date.

"Alana Martina is just born! Both Geo and Alana are doing great! We are all very happy," he wrote on Instagram. Ronaldo welcomed twins earlier this summer, reportedly born via surrogate, and has a seven-year-old son Cristiano Jr, who was born in the United States.

Georgina (22), who reportedly met the star while working as a sales assistant at Gucci in Madrid, welcomed the new arrival at the Hospital Quiron Universal in Madrid and beamed as the young family shared a sweet picture from the hospital yesterday.

Earlier this week, Ronaldo said he loved being a father and is cherishing his time with each of his children.

"It's such a unique and personal journey, but something that has completely changed me. It has shown me things about love I never knew existed. It has softened me and given me new perspective on what is really important in life," he told Hello! magazine.

"Becoming a parent and raising my family is honestly the greatest privilege I've had. I'm enjoying every second of it."

"It's such an awesome time for me to bond with my two little ones, quite uniterrupted. Soon they will be grown up, like Cristiano Jr and I won't be able to have those moments with them any more, so I cherish and enjoy every moment I have with them," he added.
