Whatever you do, don't ask Nicole Scherzinger about Cheryl Fernandez Versini.
In one of the most awkward interview exchanges ever, the former Pussycat Doll stares uncomfortably when asked by a Press Association interviewer about the singer before moving on.
She begins by praising fellow judge Sharon Osbourne, saying: "I call her OG the original gangster, she's the mama. I'm really close with her, the people on the panel - that's my family."
Then, when the reporter asks about Cheryl, specifically, "Are you not disappointed that you missed out on Cheryl?", she shared at him.
The reporter followed up, explaining "Cheryl Fernandez-Versini?" and Nicole made this face.
After what feels like an eternity of waiting for something...anything...the clip cuts out.
The pair have a long-lasting feud that you probably forgot about because The X Factor isn't really a thing anymore, but back when it was in the golden age of 2012, Cheryl described her first meeting with Nicole as "awkward" in her autobiography.
"I’d like to give her the benefit of the doubt and hope that she would only have spoken highly of me because I’ve not spoken poorly of her.
"The story is I met her once at The X Factor and I wanted to make her feel good. I said I’d heard her song on the radio and I think I sang the words "promise this". But I really don’t know any lyrics after that.
"And then that is made out to be something else and I don’t understand why. I don’t understand why anybody would do that. It’s been blown out of proportion and it’s silly."
2016 Nicole doesn't seem to find it silly at all.
