Watch: Interviewer tells Nicole Scherzinger she "wasted" good childbearing years with Lewis Hamilton
Hot on the heels of celebrities coming out against the 'baby question' in interviews, an interviewer is coming under criticism after telling Nicole Scherzinger that she "wasted good years" not having a baby with Lewis Hamilton.
US chat show host Wendy Williams made the comments during an interview with the singer Nicole Scherzinger earlier this week.
Williams made comments in relation to Scherzinger's age, saying "Because you're 37, I was like, 'this is a woman who spent seven years of her life breaking up and getting back together".
She continued: "Poor us. They [men] can have babies whenever they want. You know what I mean? Those are seven years you can never get back."
Scherzinger replied that "everything happens for a reason", adding "seven years was a long time".
Williams interrupted the singer to gesture downwards towards her womb, saying "and the good years down here".
A collected Scherzinger said "I think whatever you experience in life and in your relationships, you're obviously meant to grow from it".
Commenters on social media were not so calm, with many attacking Williams for her 'negativity' and lack of sensitivity.
Model Chrissy Teigen recently spoke out against the 'baby question', revealing that she was sick of being asked when she was going to have a baby with her husband, John Legend.
"One day, you’re going to ask that to the wrong girl who’s really struggling, and it’s going to be really hurtful to them... And I hate that. So, I hate it. Stop asking me."
