Vogue ditched brother's wedding to do Bear Grylls' TV show
Vogue Williams has revealed she ditched her brother's wedding to film Bear Grylls' new TV show.
The model and DJ signed up for Mission to Survive with ITV before realising filming would clash with her brother's nuptials.
“It’s so awful. I got asked to do the show and I had to fly out the day before my brother’s wedding,” she told Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show.
“I had to ask my mum loads of times about how I was going to tell him. I left it to the last minute because I was hoping they would let me fly out later."
She added, “I told him I had been offered a big show and I just had to do it."
“He understood I just had to do it, with my job some times I have to just go and do it…But wth my family you can dump each other at a moments notice and it’s fine.”
Vogue admitted the series was much harder than she expected.
“They gave me two days to think about it, they said they wouldn’t take my answer until I took two days. It was hard staying on the floor with scorpions in my shoes."
In the show Grylls takes eight celebrities into the depths of one of the most unforgiving Central American rainforests, where they will be competing in an epic 12-day survival mission.
Joining Vogue on the adventure is former Voice of Ireland coach Jamelia, actor Laurence Fox, actress Emilia Fox, comedian Tom Rosenthal, former English rugby player Mike Tindall, Olympian Dame Kelly Holmes and Max George, from boyband The Wanted.
