Previously unseen images of Woody Allen, Ronnie Barker and Liza Minnelli have been released after they were unearthed in an archive.
The TV Times images were found in A4 envelopes packed up inside boxes at the British Film Institute (BFI) in London after being stored there - some for more than 50 years.
Only a tiny fraction were published before they were stashed away.
They show film director Alfred Hitchcock peeking behind the door of the Rovers Return on the set of Coronation Street in 1968.
Another features star Minnelli backstage, holding a dress up to her reflection in the mirror during rehearsals for a TV production, Live At The Hippodrome, in 1966.
Director Allen stands next to a microphone - which towers above him - while preparing for The Woody Allen Show in 1965.
The Beatles are captured during a shoot at Granada Studios in December 1965.
The black and white portraits, which are going up for sale, also feature Peter Sellers, Diana Rigg, Jim Morrison, Tommy Cooper and Sir Michael Caine.
