TV star Simon Delaney welcomes his fourth child
Congratulations are in order for TV star Simon Delaney, who welcomed his fourth child into the world over the weekend.
The Saturday AM presenter and his wife Lisa Muddiman are overjoyed with their new son, who they named Lewis.
The happy dad took to social media to bring the good news to his followers and share the first photo of the tiny tot.
"Allow me to introduce Lewis Delaney, who arrived tonight at 7:53pm," he wrote. "Mam and baby were both amazing."
The arrival was good timing for the presenter, who also juggles a busy acting career on top of his TV3 commitments.
Simon starred in Driving Mrs Daisy at the Gaiety Theatre, with the show only wrapping up on May 28 - just a week before his wife gave birth.
The 45-year-old recently told the Diary he signed up for the gig because it was close to home in case the baby arrive earlier than expected.
"It's all go, but that's one of the reasons I wanted to do this job because it kept me home as well," he said.
"It's close to home and close to the baby and close to Holles Street.
"It's only across the road - so I won't spill a load of hot water going over," he joked.
"She could have the baby any time from now because she's 35 weeks now so it could be in the middle of a check rehearsal, it could be a dress rehearsal it could be the preview week, and it could be the third week in May."
Simon also said that with bills to pay, he wouldn't be taking any time off work to help with the new arrival.
"Paternity leave? Not at all. I can't take any time off - not with four kids and a mortgage," he said.
The TV host's star is set to rise as his movie The Conjuring 2 hits screens later this month on June 17.
