'Those pictures, they're making me cry' - Ewan McGregor's daughter shares emotional self-penned song
Esther McGregor (16) posted the emotional video to Instagram
In the wake of her parent's very public divorce, Ewan McGregor's teenage daughter Esther has taken to social media to share an emotional self-penned song.
The 16 year old daughter of the Hollywood star and his now reportedly ex-wife Eve Mavrakis posted the acoustic song 'Made you a man' to her Instagram account.
"Waking up slowly, I'm taking my time, I read some dumb s*** that I found online," the song begins.
"Seeing those pictures, they're making me cry," Esther continues, while strumming an acoustic guitar.
The video has been viewed over 20K times, with people adding comments in praise of the young girl's song writing skills and voice, as well as referencing the break up of her parents.
"If he can show his affection to another woman, other than her mother in public, then she can express her hurt about it publicly," one person commented on the video, while others praised her talent: "I cannot imagine how you and your siblings and mom feel right now. You all seem strong ladies and are all beautiful. You have an incredible talent"
The 46-year-old Scottish actor split with his wife last May and is believed to be dating his Fargo co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, famously thanking both of them during his Best Actor acceptance speech at the Golden Globes earlier this month.
Despite the positive words he had for his estranged wife, he has now filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences", according to TMZ.
The pair have three other children together: Jamyan (16), Anouk (six) and a daughter Clara, who is 21 and therefore not included in the custody arrangement.
Clara has previously referred to the McGregor household as a 'strong female household', telling The Telegraph “Sid, our dog, is the only other boy, giving Dad some back-up,” in 2016.
