Does anyone else yearn for the days of teenage movies you could get overly invested in?
Mandy Moore was an underrated noughties icon. She always maintained B+ list levels of fame, but for a brief flicker in 2002, among a certain set of teenage girls - she was A+.
In 2001, we loved to hate her as mean girl Lana in The Princess Diaries, (starring opposite a pre-Oscar Anne Hathway), but it was her role in 2002's A Walk To Remember as dying teenager Jamie Sullivan that solidified her place in our noughties teenage hearts.
She worked the red carpet circuit for awhile - here she is, wearing a bucket hat in 2001:
And here she is wearing flared jeans and pointed flats to the world premiere of her movie in 2002:
She explored a love of colour, huge disc earrings and bang-on-trend sunglasses in 2002...
Most recently, she was pictured at the second Red Nose Day celebrations in the US as she prepares for the premiere of her newest project - a dramedy entitled This Is Us (which earned the highest number of views for a trailer on Facebook and YouTube in 48 hours ever).
So the 32-year-old isn't exactly resting on her laurels.
She also voiced Rapunzel in 2010 animated Disney flick and still makes millions from it, so it looks like things worked out pretty well for MM.
