Introducing the next generation of Monaco's royal family.

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco today debuted their newborn twins, Gabriella and Jacques, to the world.

The twin siblings were born  on December 10 and were released from hospital with their mother three days later.

And their royal parents deemed to time to meet the world as they were affectionately carried by their royal parents on the balcony of the Palais Princier in Monaco at 11.45am.

In addition to the world's media who ad lined up to see the babies, thousands of locals had also gathered to catch a glimpse.

The Prince and Princess were beaming as they cradled their little ones in their and Charlene looked to be a natural as she soothed and cooed her three and a half week old.

At less than a month old, there were already qualms about the titles they would inherit. Salic law in Monaco dictates that Crown Prince Jacques will assume the throne after their father, while Gabriella is the Countess of Carlades.

The first photos of the babies were released on December 23.
