Robert Pattinson is reportedly gearing up to propose to girlfriend FKA Twigs.
The former Twilight star began dating the singer last summer and the pair are believed to have moved in together at the end of the year. But now it seems the British star is hoping to take their relationship to the next level.
“He’s fallen deeply in love and has never been more sure of anything,” a friend told the US edition of OK! Magazine. “He’s shopping around for engagement rings and wants to put one on her finger on Valentine’s Day.”
The 28-year-old recently took his girlfriend across the pond to meet his family. And after receiving their seal of approval about his new love, Robert is keen to walk down the aisle before reportedly settling into supporting FKA’s burgeoning career.
“He wants to marry her and settle down in the UK and focus on smaller indie movies,” the source continued. “He’s happy to take a backseat to her career too and wants to be a stay-at-home dad when they get around to starting a family.”
While Robert is apparently keen to give up the big blockbusters that he became known for, the 26-year-old’s career is picking up pace after appearing in Vogue and a topless shoot for V magazine.
However, it’s claimed his friends are telling the actor to ease the pace.
“[Friends have told him to] slow down because he is smothering her," an insider told Radar Online previously. "They are living together full-time, though. It is very serious."
If every generation gets the pop stars it deserves, how fitting that Taylor Swift should be the biggest artist of 2014. With Swift, it's hard to tell where the Instagram feed ends and the person begins: her life is a 24/7 social media sugar-rush, so much so that it is possible to develop a keen sense of who she is and what her career represents without having ever experienced a note of her music. She's the quintessential Gen Y meta-celebrity, a retweet addict, for whom art and publicity can seem one and the same.
