David Tennant has said he can't wait for audiences on both sides of the pond to get stuck into the newest Broadchurch instalments.
The actor starred as DI Alec Hardy in ITV murder mystery Broadchurch and has taken up the role of detective Emmett Carver for the US remake of the drama, renamed as Gracepoint.
He said: "Gracepoint starts on Fox in America on October 2, so we wait to see how America takes to it. I had a blast, it was great. It was such a wonderful script and then to get to tell that story to a whole new audience is very exciting. I just hope they like it."
David is also back for a second run of Broadchurch in the UK, due to air in 2015, and he said: " We're in the middle of that at the moment, which is why I've got this rather scruffy beard. But it's worth waiting for, I promise you."
He can also be seen on the big screen in family comedy What We Did On Our Holiday, in cinemas now.
