Sylvester Stallone quits Twitter
Sylvester Stallone has quit Twitter in a bid to stay out of trouble.
The actor - who used the social networking site to have a pop at his Expendables co-star Bruce Willis last year - admitted he gets himself into hot water by tweeting so thinks it is best avoided, reported Metro.
He was quoted as saying: "Every time I use social media I get really in trouble!"
Sly, whose last tweet was in October, went on: " I think George Clooney said it best when he said you've got to be an idiot to be a celebrity and use Twitter. You wake up in the morning when you're sober and your career is over!
"You've got to be really, really careful. You think you're a genius up there in the middle of the night and you wake up an idiot."
The actor hit the headlines in August when he made the remark about Die Hard star Bruce.
He tweeted that Harrison Ford had replaced Bruce in The Expendables 3, writing: " WILLIS OUT... HARRISON FORD IN !!!! GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!"
He later posted: " GREEDY AND LAZY ...... A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE," which was assumed to be referring to Bruce.
However, the Rambo star later insisted that he still considers Bruce to be a friend.
