Strictly Come Dancing's Winkleman and Daly to get Newzoids puppet treatment
Strictly Come Dancing co-hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly are the latest stars to get the Newzoids puppet treatment.
The puppets of the pair will debut in the second series of the satirical sketch show, which returns to ITV for a six-part series starting this month.
Winkleman's puppet sports a heavy fringe hanging over her eyes, while Daly's shows off a wide grin and towers over her co-host.
Both will be voiced by impressionist Debra Stephenson.
She joked of the sketches: "We're a little bit cheeky, and when I say 'we', we take no responsibility!"
The newcomers join the likes of Louis Walsh, Danny Dyer, Nicole Scherzinger, Jeremy Corbyn and Princess Charlotte, whose puppets have all been unveiled in recent weeks.
Others who will be represented in the topical animation show include Donald Trump, Zayn Malik and Bear Grylls, adding to the 70 existing Newzoids characters who include the Queen, Ant and Dec and Simon Cowell.
Featuring the voices of impressionists Stephenson, Jon Culshaw, Lewis MacLeod and Simon Greenall, the first series of the programme aired in April 2015.
:: Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly will feature in episode one of Newzoids on Saturday September 3 at 9.15pm.
