Starstruck Kathryn Thomas nabs Matt LeBlanc for a selfie in Kenmare
She is one of Ireland's most famous faces, but it seems even Kathryn Thomas was left a little starstruck after meeting Friends actor Matt LeBlanc.
The US star was in Kerry this weekend shooting the new series of car show Top Gear, which is due to hit TV screens next month.
In a happy coincidence, Voice of Ireland presenter Kathryn was also in Kerry, and couldn't hide her delight when she bumped into him while on a shopping trip in Kenmare.
As part of his Top Gear duties, Matt was driving the Ring of Kerry in a Rolls-Royce Dawn.
Kathryn, who has been spending a lot of time in Kerry with her Pure Results bootcamp, made a beeline for the star.
It seems Matt and Kathryn caused quite a stir, with their selfie moment on the streets of Kenmare attracting a huge crowd.
The Carlow native is a big fan of the actor and first got a photo of him inside his swanky car before he leaned in for a selfie.
"Warning Matt le Blanc to steer clear of [2fm DJ] Eoghan McDermott if he comes across him on his travels," Kathryn captioned the photo.
Matt, who shot to fame for his portrayal of Joey Tribbiani on hit sitcom Friends, attracted a lot of attention while filming in Kerry with Top Gear co-star Chris Evans.
The show was not the only scene of activity in Kerry over the weekend - construction is under way on the set of the latest Star Wars flick.
Five lookalike beehive huts were erected at Ceann Sibeal in West Kerry.
Filming is due to begin next month on the next episode and is expected to take about two weeks.
The construction will then be dismantled.
The huts resemble the medieval stone shelters on Skellig Michael, which featured in the latest movie in the Star Wars franchise.
