Spencer Matthews' ex warns Vogue Williams: 'I don't know whether he'll ever be faithful to one woman'
Spencer Matthews' ex-girlfriend Louise Thompson said she doubts his ability to stay faithful.
Thompson (27) dated the reformed lothario (27) in 2013 and their romance played out onscreen in the early days of Made in Chelsea, where Spencer's womanising ways was the focus of a number of plotlines during his time on the show.
But the reality tv star, who is dating personal trainer Ryan Libbey, said she'll always be wary about Spencer, who has recently moved in with Irish presenter Vogue Williams. His relationship with Thompson ended when he admitted to cheating on her and famously telling her, "It's f***ing hard to respect you when you allow me to cheat on you."
"I would like to believe that he's a changed man but he had fundamental character traits that can't be changed. I don't know whether he will ever be faithful to one woman. He will hate me for saying that but I used to know him so well, so I think I'm entitled," Louise told new! magazine.
Weeks after Spencer described Vogue as "the one", adding he had never felt this way about anyone, the reality tv star said: "He's said that to everyone he's dated! It's an excuse for his past behaviour. When he started dating Lucy Watson straight after me, he blamed me for everything he did in our relationship on me. I guess only time will tell with Spencer and Vogeu. They will have to learn for themselves."
But the former Chelsea bad-boy, who claims he's slept with 1,000 women, says he's a changed man and has taken every opportunity to declare his love for the RTE star, whom he met filming another reality show The Jump back in February.
"I always support her at everything she does," he told The Mirror last month. "She’s the one for me. I’m a changed man. No disrespect to any of my exes, but this feels very different. They always say you know when you know. I certainly feel super happy and hope it lasts."
Vogue, on the other hand, said she makes her "cringe" to be considered the one to tame him, saying she was unaware of his reputation before they met and has never watched an episode of MIC.
Whatever he did in the past is not going to bother me or affect us. I just know him for who he is now. He's so positive and down-to-earth, and the most chilled-out person you could ever meet – nothing fazes him," she told the Daily Mail's You Magazine.
And the high profile couple eyeing up potentially hosting a show together in the coming months.
"I'd love to do something with him because that would mean we would actually have a solid block of time together," she said. "That would be something that's on the cards for us, definitely in the future, to do presenting together or a quiz show together or something like that."
