Singer George Shelley's younger sister in intensive care after car accident
British singer and presenter George Shelley's sister is in intensive care after being hit by a car.
George's younger sister Harriet Shelley, 21, sustained serious head injuries during the accident on Friday night, and is receiving treatment at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, England.
Harriet's mum Toni Harris confirmed the news but said her daughter is now in a stable condition and that no one was to blame for the crash.
"She was hit by a car," Toni said, reports The Sun. "She's very poorly but she's stable.
"Everybody at Southmead Hospital has been amazing, they have been working 24/7 to make sure she is alright.
"I would like to thank everyone in Clevedon for praying for our daughter... They have been holding church services, Bristol's Buddha centre has also been helping - everybody across different religions have been so amazing."
Toni added her daughter was "in the wrong place at the wrong time".
Harriet had recently updated her Twitter account to tell her fans she had left her dissertation to the last minute for her midwifery degree.
Former Union J singer George is yet to comment, but it seems from his Instagram account that he was just back from a holiday in Costa Rica when the accident happened.
The 23-year-old had been keeping fans updated with photos from his break, which he was enjoying with his rumoured boyfriend Matthew Holehouse.
