Broadcaster Sile Seoige has admitted that she prefers the woman she is now rather than who she was in her 20s.

The Galway native has had a varied career on both TV and radio from a young age but she said she doesn't mind getting older.

"I certainly see lines on my face that weren't there before and my idea of an ideal Friday night is chilling out at home, curled up in front of the fire instead of hitting the dance floor," she said.

"But I'm OK with it. The truth is, I much prefer the woman I am today than the 25-year-old me."

However, she does admit there are some downsides to getting older.

"At 35, I may not be able to shift the overindulgences as quickly as I once could," she said. Sile also admitted that she is so glad she decided to get braces as it has given her a massive confidence boost.

"Getting braces and straightening my teeth my one of the best decisions I ever made," she said.

The TG4 presenter also said that women should start focusing more on self-reflection as it helped her realise who she was.

"We spend so much time worrying about our physical beauty that often other parts of us are neglected," Sile said.

"For me, self-reflection and the discoveries it brings has made me a much more content person.

"I now know the good and the bad about myself and it's been worth every second," she told Irish Country Magazine.

Meanwhile, the brunette beauty is planning on pursuing her passion for singing and recording an album after releasing a charity single for the Make A Wish Foundation at Christmas.

"I will definitely be looking at doing more music for sure because I've realised how much I love it but getting a taste for it makes me want more," she said.

"Who knows what will happen but I'll definitely be giving it some serious thought," she said.
