'She didn’t expect to be single again' - inside Jennifer Aniston's life after split with Justin Theroux
Jennifer Aniston "didn't expect to be single again" and firmly believed that her now estranged husband Justin Theroux was The One.
The 49-year-old actress wed The Leftovers star (46) in 2016 after three years of dating and the couple announced their surprise split last week in a joint statement. Aniston, who was previously married to actor Brad Pitt for five years before splitting in 2005, still reportedly believes in love, but is "sad and disappointed" her marriage didn't work out.
"She hates all the media attention that she knows she will get now. But she is a big believer in falling in love and spending her life with a partner that loves sharing hers," a source told the new issue of People.
Neither has publicly divulged the reason for their break-up, but it's believed they couldn't settle on a city to live in - Jennifer preferred Los Angeles, while Justin wanted to live in New York and they began spending increasing amount of time apart on different coasts.
"They couldn’t find common ground that made them both happy. It became exhausting and frustrating," the insider added.
Their choice of preferred city was reportedly an issue before the wedding, but Theroux was so in love, he wanted to look past in order to keep their relationship going. The Horrible Bosses star was constantly hounded by the paparazzi, who would wait for her outside their apartment in NYC's West Village, whereas she has a much larger property in Bel Air, where she can roam free without concern for her privacy.
"He much prefers being [in New York] and that's been a major issue for them for a long time," a source told Entertainment Tonight.
“He really wanted her to be comfortable [in New York]. He even negotiated with the paps to make a deal that they would only shoot her once per day and then leave her alone. He also agreed to move out of his apartment, which he loves."
