Serena Williams had a star-studded 1950s-themed baby shower - and it looked amazing
Serena Williams was never going to have a low-key baby shower.
The tennis champion is expecting her first child with fiancé Alexis Ohanian, and had a star-studded celebration on Saturday ahead of the baby's arrival.
Serena (35) was joined by a host of her celebrity pals, including Ciara, Kelly Rowland and Eva Longoria, for the bash in Palm Bach, Florida.
The shower was aptly held in a 1950s-themed diner, with plenty of snaps being shared across social media throughout the day.
Serena looked glowing in a bright yellow swing skirt and crop top, wearing her hair in a retro up-do.
In June, the expectant mother joined the ever-growing list of celebrities who celebrate their pregnancies by posing nude on the cover of Vanity Fair.
In the photographs, shot by Annie Leibovitz, Serena poses in a series of profile images, displaying her growing baby bump.
She conducted a full interview with the publication about her pregnancy, revealing that she took a pregnancy test as a "joke" while training for the Australian Open in January following her friend's encouragement after feeling "different physically."
Serena announced in March that she is expecting her first child with Ohanian (34), after accidentally revealing her pregnancy on social media.
Speaking at a TED conference, the tennis ace said that the photo she shared of her baby bump was intended only for her personal records.
"I have this thing where I've been checking my status and taking pictures every week to see how far along I'm getting," the 35-year-old said in an on-stage chat with journalist Gayle King.
"I was just saving them (for myself)," she said. "I've been so good about it, but this was the one time it slipped."
The couple first got together in 2015 and became engaged in December.
