Scarlett: Spotlight can be hard

Scarlett Johansson has admitted some aspects of being famous can be annoying.

The Hollywood actress - who is expecting a baby with fiance Romain Dauriac - confessed that living her life in the public eye has its down sides.

"There are things about being in the public eye and media which are sh***y and annoying," she said, before laughing: "Oh that sounds really eloquent!"

"But you don't realise how lovely it is to be anonymous until you're going through airport security and feeling exposed, or you're in a situation where everyone has a camera phone out and you can't control any of that," Scarlett continued.

"Not that that's the reality of my life every day, but there are moments when you turn around and someone's been video-taping you and [they're going to be] uploading it God knows where. But it's part of the give and take."

Scarlett's new film Captain America: The Winter Soldier has a theme of trust - the characters question who they can rely on, and how freedom and privacy are being infringed upon.

The actress, who plays the Black Widow, understands the potential violation, as in 2012 a man was sentenced to 10 years for hacking the computers of a number of celebrities - including Scarlett's.

The star revealed she hasn't looked into "special" security since - because she's not sure it exists.

"It seems like there's none, and I think this movie really exposes that," she said. "You're always vulnerable, so the best thing to do is if you have something really personal you want to share with someone, send a carrier pigeon - or have a meeting in person!"

However, Scarlett insisted she still thinks of herself as a trusting person: "I guess I wait for people to prove me wrong, and then I don't trust them after that," said the 29-year-old.
