Saoirse Ronan sizzles in scarlet on the red carpet with Hollywood mega stars
Saoirse Ronan brought sophisticated style to the red carpet at the HFPA Annual Grants Banquet as awards season kicks off.
Gone are the tatty runners and ripped jeans - Saoirse showed her maturity by dressing in a contemporary red dress for the Hollywood royalty event.
She teamed the Japanese-inspired gown with a striking pair of black stilettos.
Saoirse (21) has been hotly tipped for an award for her role in Brooklyn, based on Colm Toibin's novel.
Her invitation to this event is particularly notable, as it is organised by the group behind the Golden Globes.
Saoirse and Spiderman star Andrew Garfield both accepted a grant on behalf of Higher Education at the event in Beverley Hills, California.
The HFPA gives to non-profit entertainment-related organisations and scholarship programmes and committed more that $19.5m in 25 years including grants, more than 1,000 scholarships and more than 90 films.
The organisation which annually presents the Golden Globes group secured a lineup that also included Halle Berry, Brie Larson, Elizabeth Banks, America Ferrera, Ice Cube and Jake Gyllenhaal.
