Saldana's new Baby series for TV
Zoe Saldana has been cast in the lead role of a new TV miniseries of the classic thriller Rosemary's Baby.
The Star Trek actress will play Rosemary in NBC's small screen adaptation of Ira Levin's novel, according to Deadline.
The story follows Rosemary, who moves with her husband into a Paris apartment that has a dark past - but when she gets pregnant, she becomes convinced that her husband and their neighbours have a plan for her child.
NBC head of longform Quinn Taylor said: "Zoe has proven that she is one of our most gifted actresses, and we think she has the perfect combination of spirit and gravitas to take on the title role from Ira Levin's infamous novel."
Production of Rosemary's Baby, which was also made into a 1968 film by Roman Polanski starring Mia Farrow, is set to begin soon in Paris.
Zoe is also lined up to star in Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy and Blood Ties.
