RTE star Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin 'due to wed next month'
RTE presenter Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain is reportedly due to wed next month.
The 34-year-old broadcaster's engagement has been rumoured in media circles for several months and it looks like she has managed to keep it under wraps until closer to the big day.
Aoibhinn is said to be planning her nuptials abroad in June, according to the Mail on Sunday and much like her wedding plans, she has successfully kept the identity of her fiancé under wraps.
After a high profile five-year romance with RTE's highest paid star Ryan Tubridy, which ended in 2014, she has preferred to keep her private life away from the spotlight.
Months before their split, in interviews, Tubridy talked about how he was a "gobshite with women", and said you would need "the patience of Job and his extended family" to live with him. She said she wasn’t ready for children and he told reporters he had no plans on proposing.
At the time, their shared agent Noel Kelly issued a statement his NK Management firm, saying: "Aoibhinn and Ryan are no longer together.
"They will remain friends and ask for privacy at this time. There will be no further comment on this personal matter."
Aoibhinn, who has a PhD in Mathematics Education from Trinity College Dublin and lectures in University College Dublin (UCD), said in an earlier interview she would love to have children before she turns 40.
She previously lived with Tubridy in a €1.3m home in Monkstown, but in 2016, she purchased her own home in trendy Inchicore, while her ex went on to sell the property for a tidy €200,000 profit.
