Former Miss World Rosanna Davison is a huge fan of Christmas and has revealed exactly what she needs under the tree this year.

The former Miss World was on hand to lend her Christmas spirit to the launch of the Dun Laoghaire Christmas Festival, which runs from November 23 to December 23.

"I love Christmas, I'm one of these annoying people who's excited for Christmas as soon as Halloween is over," Rosanna told the Herald.

"I love the atmosphere and being able to catch up with friends and family who you wouldn't normally see throughout the year," she added.

And this Christmas is extra special as it's her first one as a married lady as she wed her long-term beau Wesley Quirke over the summer.

"I'm really excited for Christmas this year. We haven't really talked about who goes where just yet but I think the tradition is to go to the wife's family home for the first Christmas and then we'll probably visit Wes's family on Stephen's Day," she revealed.

And when it comes to Christmas shopping, Rosanna says she prefers to buy practical gifts for her loved ones.

"I like to ask people what they need and if they want anything in particular. Some of the best presents I've gotten have been things that I use throughout the year, like a sat nav," she added.

And what would she like under the Christmas tree this year?

"I actually dropped my phone in a cup of tea and it hasn't been the same since so if I'm due an upgrade that would make for a very nice and convenient present," she laughed.
