Rosanna Davison has decided against her traditional Christmas getaway this year in favour of spending the holiday season in Ireland with her husband, Wes Quirke.

The former Miss World usually jets off to a hotel on the sun-kissed island of Mauritius with her family for a well-earned rest.

However, that will not be the case this year for the nutritionist who has spent the past week relaxing at home.

She told the Diary that they will be heading over to the Indian Ocean holiday island in the next couple of months as her famous dad, Chris de Burgh, has been booked in for a special singing engagement.

“The hotel that we usually go to has undergone a massive renovation this year, and they’re holding the reopening party in early March,” said Rosanna.

“My dad has been asked to perform at it, so we thought it would be nice for the family to go over then instead.”

Rosanna (33) will still be getting her fill of vitamin D next month.

She has booked a few days away with Wes, and they will be heading over to Dubai for “a cheeky few days” in the tropical sun.

Rosanna has a busy year ahead.

In addition to working on her fitness and lifestyle blog, she has also been appointed as the nutrition consultant for the Constance hotel group as she helps them devise super-healthy menus.

It will also be back to school for her next year as she has signed up for a master’s degree with Middlesex University.

“It’s a distance learning course, but one I’m really interested in, with modules in areas like sports nutrition, so it’s something else to squeeze in,” she said.

“But it will be worth it, I think.”
