Ronan Keating's Aussie girlfriend says Ireland is her 'second home'
TV producer Storm Uechtritz joined forces with the Marie Keating Foundation
Boyzone singer Ronan Keating was in Dublin today with his Aussie TV producer girlfriend Storm Uechtritz, who said Ireland is like her second home.
“It's beautiful. I miss home a lot, of course I do. My family are in Australia and home will always be home but this is a second home," she said.
"I absolutely love Ireland and obviously the kids are here so we do spend 50pc of our time here.”
She joined forces with the Marie Keating Foundation at Skechers Store on Henry Street this morning as she helped launch a cause close to Ronan's heart.
Looking super-slim, she posed for pictures with the new limited edition Gowalk2 Shoe in aid of the cancer support charity, some €10 from the €60 price tag will go towards the foundation.
And although Ronan insisted that he wasn’t working today, he admitted that he was “very proud” of his beautiful girlfriend, who got involved with the campaign after his sister asked her.
“Linda asked her. She’s wanted to do something for quite some time and this was perfect - I’m delighted she’s doing it,” he said.
He was prompted into setting up the Foundation alongside his siblings after their mother Marie’s death in 1998 from breast cancer.
Saying that Mother’s Day would be very emotional for him this Sunday, he said that 16 years on from her death, he still misses her.
