Ronan and Storm Keating are jetting to the Maldives for baby Cooper's first Christmas
Ronan Keating will be jetting to the Maldives with his wife Storm and their infant son Cooper this Christmas.
The former Boyzone singer (40) is preparing to spend the festive season in the sun as they take advantage of having some downtime for a change.
Ronan, who has three children - Jack (18), Missy (16) and Ali (12) - with ex-wife Yvonne Connolly, said he's keen to make the most of his time off work, hosting a UK breakfast radio show. He spent last year with his three eldest children in Dublin and the year before, Yvonne spent Christmas with their kids.
"It will be really different for me because I’ve never had a warm Christmas ever, but it will be a little more like home for Storm," he told Hello! magazine.
"It’s been another mad busy year so we’re both really looking forward to getting some sun and making the most of my two weeks off work… and as Coops is still too young to really understand Santa plus we’re still building the new house, it makes sense to do it now while we still can."
"From next year onwards I imagine we’ll be at home every year putting out the carrots and cookies."
Ronan divides his time between Dublin, where his three older children live, and London and he has fond memories of frantic Christmas shopping when Santa was still around in his house.
"When my big kids were just little kids, I was that crazy dad who would run around town like a mad man buying and sorting it all," he explained.
"I’ve always been a hands on dad and my kids are my world. I have always been totally devoted to my kids and always will be. All four of my kids are amazing and it’s very, very special to see the bond between them all."
While Storm was expecting, he spoke about his excitement at becoming a father for the fourth time, saying his children were just as happy about the new arrival, with Ali asking for daily bump updates.
Earlier this year, when asked if he was an "old pro" at dealing with babies, Ronan said the experience is "brand new".

"This is something we’re doing together and it’s a wonderful experience. That’s very exciting and I’ve really welcomed it every step of the way. I think it’s the most excited I’ve ever felt about anything," he said.
Storm, a tv producer, added that his three children have always been "the priority" as they try to create a happy home for their blended family.
"It possibly could have been tricker if Ro’s relationship wasn’t as strong as it is with the kids," she explained. "They know there’s unconditional love, and they come first for both of us. From the moment I came into Ro’s life they were the priority.
"You can’t fake love or kindness. When they’re in our home, it’s a happy place and that’s something we’ve worked really hard to create."
