Princess Madeleine of Sweden announces she's expecting: 'We look forward to four becoming five!'
The Swedish royal baby boom continues.
Princess Madeleine (35) has announced she's expecting her third child with husband Chris O'Neill (43), while her sister-in-law Princess Sofia is due to give birth to her second child any day now.
Madeleine broke the news on her Facebook page, writing: "Chris and I are thrilled to announce that I am expecting. We look forward to four becoming five!"
The couple already have Princess Leonore (three) and Prince Nicolas (two) and last year, they hinted they'd like to expand their brood as much as possible.
Last year, she described herself as a "normal mum", detailing day-to-day life with her family in London, where they have been based since 2015.
"They wake me up and we fix breakfast together and the breakfast flies all over the place. And then we go out to the park and we swing, we try to do a lot of activities because my little Leonore, she has lots of energy, so we have to keep her stimulated and busy," she explained to People.
"I think because my mom and father, of course, were so devoted to their work and as king and queen, they have lots of obligations, so they were away quite a bit when we were small. But when they were home, they were very present and I feel that I want to give my children as much as I can."
Similarly, Crown Princess Victoria revealed earlier this year that she feels bound by her royal duty and doesn't spend as much time as she would like with her children Princess Estelle (five) and Prince Oscar (one).
It was also recently announced that Princess Leonore will be attending pre-school in Sweden and the couple will continue to divide their time between Stockholm and London.
"HRH Princess Madeleine and her family permanently reside in London. However, they regularly spend longer periods in Sweden. The Princess feels that her children should have a strong connection with Sweden. She wants them to feel at home here just as she does," a statement read at the time.
