Model Pippa O'Connor says she's "big enough and bold enough" to shake off any criticism from internet trolls and keyboard warriors.

The blogger (31) has gone from catwalk queen to web sensation in just over a year and she told the Herald she's been lucky enough to escape nasty comments from online haters - although she's well equipped if any come her way.

"Luckily, I've never really had to deal with anything like that.

"I have a really nice following and I think in the 10 years I've been in the industry I can probably count on one hand all the nasty things that have been said about me," Pippa said.

"If there ever was anything silly or nasty written to me I wouldn't even reply - I think I'm big enough and bold enough now to just let it go over my head. I think it's good to not believe the good and not believe the bad."

A self-confessed social media addict, the mum-of-one admitted sometimes she resorts to turning off her phone to kick back and relax after a busy week.

"Sometimes I turn my phone off on Saturdays and Sundays and that definitely helps. I'm so active on social media that I feel like I'm on it all the time, so I think it's healthy in every way to take a little break sometimes," she said. "I get a lot of messages from followers and I feel like if I don't reply there and then that I might forget so I think you can easily get caught up in it."

Pippa's fashion blogging success may have stemmed from her decade-long modelling career but she admitted she had dreams of being an actress when she was growing up.

"[When I was younger] I was always singing and dancing saying I wanted to be an actress - I never tried acting but that's what I thought I wanted to do when I was a young child," she said.

The stylish blonde was on hand yesterday to launch the Alive multi-vitamin range.

"With all the running around I do some days I just feel burnt out. I always have to get up out of bed because I don't really have a choice but sometimes you need a recharge and a boost," she said.
