Pippa Middleton's relationship with her boyfriend of two years is said to be suffering from long distance.

Kate Middleton's little sister has been dating stockbroker Nico Jackson on and off since 2012 and he recently moved to Switzerland for work.

But their romance is suffering as their busy schedules prevent them from seeing each other as much as they would like.

"Long distance has been tough on them," an insider told Grazia. "It's difficult to find time for one another and Nico seems to be getting fed up with it all."

Before leaving the UK, it was believed that the pair were on the 'brink' of getting engaged.

It was recently reported that Pippa was told to be more discreet when it comes to discussing the royal family after she gave her first television interview with The Today Show in the US.

“They are furious with Pippa,” one aristocratic source told Radar Online. “They wish that she would shut-up. It is obvious that she wants to define her identify and step out of her sisters shadow, however she needs to know her place.”

There’s debate as to whether Palace officials knew about the sit down chat with host Matt Lauer beforehand or not. While the source says the family are “livid” that Pippa gave the interview behind their backs, other sources state that Clarence House, the home of Kate and husband Prince William, signed off on the interview, which is slightly different from Buckingham Palace, who speak on behalf of the Queen.
