Pippa Middleton is determined to keep all eyes on her with 'no ring, no bring' rule for guests
Pippa Middleton is determined to keep all eyes on her for her upcoming wedding day.
Kate Middleton's socialite sister will wed hedge fund manager James Matthews in May and in order to keep numbers down and prying eyes away, she's enforcing a "no ring, no bring" rule for guests - which means you can only bring a guest if you're married or engaged.
Harry and his actress girlfriend were centre stage at his best friend Tom "Skippy" Inskip's wedding last weekend in Jamaica and with suggestions the Duchess of Cambridge mightn't be in the bridal party for the same upstaging reasons, it sounds like the bride-to-be is taking every measure to ensure a smooth ceremony.
It's also reported that she is concerned for Harry, whom she has befriended over the years after first meeting in the run-up to William and Kate's 2011 wedding, as the public interest in his relationship has been "stressful", particularly at his pal's wedding.
"She saw how all eyes were on Meghan rather than Lara last week. The situation was also stressful for Harry. Pippa and her mother Carole wonder whether Meghan’s presence could cause a great deal of unnecessary chaos," an insider told the newspaper.
The rule also means reality tv star Spencer Matthews, her fiancé's younger brother, won't be bringing a date to one of the most anticipated celebrity weddings of the year, whether it's his rumoured love interests Vogue Williams or Lydia Bright.
Pippa will walk down the aisle on May 20th, 2017 at her family church, reports Us Weekly.
It is believed that the pair will tie the knot at St Mark's church in Berkshire, England and will have the reception at the Middleton family home nearby.
She will reportedly have her nephew Prince George (three) as a page boy, while her niece Princess Charlotte (two) will be a flower girl.
The happy couple announced their engagement in July, confirming rumours with a statement: "Miss Pippa Middleton and Mr James Matthews are delighted to announce they became engaged on Sunday 17th July and plan to marry next year."
The pair were together for less than a year after enjoying a brief relationship in 2012 before becoming engaged.
Pippa was propelled into the spotlight when she was bridesmaid in a figure-hugging Alexander McQueen dress at the royal wedding in 2011, and she will no doubt make a statement on her wedding day, with high-end designer Giles Deacon rumoured to be making her dress.
