Peter Coonan is far away from the grim goings-on in RTE drama Love/Hate as he was spotted pushing a pram in Dublin city centre yesterday.
The actor, who stars as crime boss Fran is the series, and his partner Kim O’Driscoll welcomed 8-month-old Beth in May.
Coonan (30) was spotted on Dublin’s Merrion Row on his way out with a well wrapped-up Beth.
The Dubliner, who plays Fran in RTE’s popular gangland drama recently said that his attitude towards his career has changed since the arrival of baby girl Beth.
“Life and work is important for me but her life is more important for me now, so I want to work to make that better — that’s extremely key for me,” he said.
“No books can teach you what it’s like and if you try to read any, they don’t tell you anything — you’ve got to figure it out and learn it on the ground.
“But it’s an amazing experience, it’s the best thing to ever happen and she’s wonderful,” he said.
Peter’s girlfriend Kim O’Driscoll gave birth at the National Maternity Hospital on Holles Street on May 12 and the TV star said that he was lucky to have two days off from filming the fifth season of Love/Hate when the baby arrived.
“It was a joy, she was born on a Saturday, which was great because I actually managed to have the Sunday and Monday off,” he said.
“She’s so well behaved — and she has her mother’s looks, thankfully. She’s very, very cute.”
