'Part of me feels like to put a cork in it after this, but I feel we make really great kids,' - Jamie Dornan
Irish actor Jamie Dornan said he should probably "put a cork in it" after announcing his wife Amelia Warner is pregnant with their third child.
The couple are famously protective over their children (Jamie only confirmed his two year old daughter Elva's name this year), but it was revealed earlier this month by a source that they will soon be a family of five.
In a sit-down interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the Fifty Shades star (36) said he can't wait to become a father again, but will leave the decision making up to his wife of five years.
"Part of me feels like [I need] to put a cork in it after this,," he joked. "But then, alternatively, I feel like we make really great kids. “Maybe we’ll just - if my wife’s willing - do it until we can’t do it anymore. It’s all up to her. I do the fun bit."
He is particularly excited at the prospect of being more available for his family this time around as he was previously travelling around the world promoting the Fifty Shades trilogy over the last four years.
"I think for this one, I’m going to have a lot more control over [my schedule]. [With] the first two [kids], I was sort of at the mercy of Fifty Shades‘ schedule," he said.
"The first one we had in Canada, and I started filming three days after she was born. The second one we had in London, and I flew to Canada 10 days later and started filming the second."
Dornan previously opened up about the secrets to his happy relationship, saying they always address issues before they become bigger.
"We get frustrated at times, usually when travelling with the kids, but we’d never let anything boil and become a thing. We know couples who are plate-throwers, but that’s just not us. I’m glad it’s not us - plates are expensive ... Certainly there’s never a day that I don’t tell her I love her," he told the Sunday Times Style magazine.
"I feel a healthy and lovely duty to provide for my kids, and I really like it. It suits me. Making my kids happy is a good thing for my wife and me to be driven by."
