One Direction: 'We'll continue without Zayn Malik'
Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne vow to continue without Zayn Malik
One Direction have vowed to carry on without the recently departed Zayn Malik.
The statement said the band are "looking forward to the forthcoming concerts of their world tour and recording their fifth album, due to be released later this year".
"We're really sad to see Zayn go, but we totally respect his decision and send him all our love for the future," the band said.
"The past five years have been beyond amazing, we've gone through so much together, so we will always be friends. The four of us will now continue. We're looking forward to recording the new album and seeing all the fans on the next stage of the world tour."
Simon Cowell has also issued assurances to the millions of 1D fans around the world about the future of the band.
"As for One Direction, fans can rest assured that Niall, Liam, Harry and Louis are hugely excited about the future of the band," the record supremo said in the same statement.
The statement aside, none of 1D have commented.
The band took to the stage in Jakarta, Indonesia, earlier today but are understood not to have mentioned Zayn's position.
They will then fly to South Africa where they will play in Johannesburg on March 28th and 29th, and Capetown on April 1st.
