Nicole Scherzinger rumoured to make X Factor return
Nicole Scherzinger could be set to return as an X Factor judge, according to reports.
The former Pussycat Doll appeared on the panel in 2012 and 2013 before leaving to focus on her music career.
Others rumoured to be joining Simon Cowell on the judging panel for this year's series include veteran judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.
An X Factor spokesman said: "Discussions regarding this year's panel are still ongoing and details are yet to be confirmed."
The report in the Daily Mail comes the day after Rita Ora quit The X Factor judging panel, having appeared for just one season.
With both Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw having also left the ITV talent show, the only judge now remaining from the 2015 line-up is Simon Cowell.
The show's presenters, Caroline Flack and Olly Murs, also quit the show earlier this year. Flack and Murs' exit paved the way for the return of X Factor favourite Dermot O'Leary, who confirmed in March that he was coming back to the show.
Ora tweeted: "I had a ball on @TheXFactor last year and will miss the team."
An X Factor spokesman said: "Rita brought a great energy to the show last year and did a brilliant job mentoring the girls' category, leading Louisa to victory.
"We wish her all the best with her music and film plans for the rest of the year."
American pop star Scherzinger, 37, first made guest appearances on the show in 2010.
She then appeared as a judge on the US version of the talent show, before being offered a place on the UK panel alongside Walsh, Osbourne and Gary Barlow in 2012.
She called it quits after two years, having landed a multi-million pound deal with Sony Music Entertainment.
The pop star then went on to make her West End debut in Cats.
She is currently filming a television remake of Dirty Dancing in the US.
